Can I download ApacheOpenOffice over my version?

Will my Documents, etc. in OpenOffice be lost??

No, Kay, your documents will remain where they are and be accessible in
the usual way. I upgrade when every new version comes out and have never
lost a document. Be sure though to ONLY download from the official site
www.openoffice.org as using a third party site can cause problems.

I am a OO user, LibreOffice User and Apache Office user, I am not sure
you can download the software *OVER* the other one, but your documents
will not be lost. My experience is that you can open Odt files with all
OpenOffice "derived" versions.

There is an update option on the help menu that review and send you to the
correct site.
